An opportunity has arisen within the Financial Services Ireland (FSI) Group, the Ibec trade association representing the cross-sectoral financial services sector, comprising 160 members in domestic and international banking, (re)insurance, funds and asset management, FinTech, payments, and the Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI) trade association.
The Deputy Director leads the FSI strategy development and implementation and has line management responsibility for the core FSI/ALI teams. S/he is responsible for drafting/overseeing industry positions on key regulatory and policy issues.
The Deputy Director has key account management and commercial responsibility for the association.
The Deputy Director works closely with the Director of the FSI Group to enhance the external profile of the Sector and further strengthen strategic external stakeholder management, nationally and internationally.

- Hold a primary degree in a relevant discipline, additional relevant postgraduate/professional qualifications would be an advantage
- Be capable of analysing complex policy proposals and determining their impact on the financial services industry
- Be capable of translating this to cogent policy positions and communicating them effectively through various media
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services Sector
- Possess a clear understanding of the forces that influence the competitiveness of the financial services industry
- Commercial Acumen
- Have relevant experience of working in a representational environment at a senior level and have excellent lobbying and networking skills
- Possess strong leadership capability with a clear vision for the future of Ireland’s Financial Services Sector
- Team player - capable results orientated, collaborator at all levels
- Articulate, confident, and highly professional
- Be committed to developing innovative models for engagement with members and to the development of new member services
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and motivate a small professional team and themselves
- Have excellent communication skills including media
