To provide high quality and consistent Human Resources & Industrial Relations services to members;
building effective working relationships with members; relevant agencies and Ibec colleagues. To
work as an effective part of the team. We have vacancies available for Permanent and Specified Purpose Contracts.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Provide specialist industrial relations, employment law and human resource support to members who contact or are referred to our Knowledge Centre
  • Provide direct advisory services to members, seeking always to add value to their business
  • Keep abreast of employment law; industrial relations and human resource developments
  • Represent member companies at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) and Labour Court
  • Assist in local level negotiations for member companies
  • Support the development of HR Services and the expansion of HR best practice
  • Develop written contributions for Ibec publications, website & posting to social media sites as required
  • Develop and present on Ibec presentations, webinars and podcasts as required
  • Provide input to Ibec training courses and HR forum events in the area of industrial relations, human resources & employment best practice
  • Represent the interests of employers on external committees
  • Be an active participant on various Ibec project teams as required
  • Engage in and conduct research appropriate to Knowledge Centre
  • As required, liaise with member companies regarding subscription payments with the view to obtaining timely settlement
  • Promote and support membership development initiatives

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications, skills and experience
Qualifications

•  Primary degree required. Human Resource/Industrial Relations/Employment Law related 
   qualification preferable.
•  Other relevant qualifications
•  Full clean driving licence is essential

Knowledge
•  Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law and its application in unionised and non unionised 
    workplaces.
•  Industrial Relations and Human Resource developments in Ireland and globally
•  Understanding of the role of the third party industrial relations and employment institutions in 
​    Ireland.
•  Competitive, regulatory and cost issues facing business in Ireland Experience
•  Experience in representing companies at 3rd party industrial relations institutions
•  A sound working knowledge of the industrial relations institutions and trade union 
negotiations
•  Interfacing regularly with senior company executives up to CEO level
•  Working in a representative/consultancy capacity for business
•  Working in a team environment
